Hope to Shine is a nonprofit organization based in Des Moines, Iowa, dedicated to empowering refugee and immigrant women. Our mission is to provide resources and support to help these women succeed in their new communities. We believe that every woman has the potential to thrive, and we are committed to helping them achieve their goals. Our team is made up of passionate volunteers who are dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of these women.

Our Story
Caryn Kelly and Lilian Okech met as fellow business owners in 2017. They formed Hope to Shine to focus on developing the potential of immigrant and refugee women as leaders in their homes, workplaces, and community.
